Blaaaah

Doooh’s Picture of the Day
It seems I am so focused on trying to get my work done right now that I have no cranky feelings or any other opinions about anyone or anything, except perhaps work and I don’t want to spew about that anymore.

I’ve recently started reading my second Graham Hancock book, this one is titled Underworld: The Mysterious Origins of Civilisation. So far its continuing to peak my interest. Its talking about how the surface of the earth was alot greater than it is nowadays compared to what it was before the last ice age and thus alludes to finding some lost civilisations in these areas now consumed by oceans and other waters.

Got my new Wired magazine last night. It has to be the only magazine that I can think of that I will just pick up and start reading it from cover to cover. Just about all of its content interests me in some way or another. Most of the stuff it reports on I feel like I am apart of it. Of course most of its content is “Tech-related”, which I feel I am in the middle of because of my work and to what I’m exposed to but it all seems to be current events to me, more than just “tech stuff”. Its all interesting to me.

Well thats about all I have to say about things today. Maybe I’ll have something better tomorrow.

JOKE OF THE DAY:

Jenny’s husband, Charley, was a male chauvinist. Even though they both worked full-time, he never helped around the house. Housework was woman’s work!

But one evening Jenny arrived home from work to find the children bathed one load of clothes in the washer and another in the dryer, dinner on the stove, and the table set. She was astonished–something’s up.

It turns out that Charley had read an article that said wives who worked full-time and had to do their own housework were too tired to be romantic. The night went well and the next day she told her office friends all about it.

“We had a great dinner. Charley even cleaned up. He helped the kids do their homework, folded all the laundry and put everything away. I really enjoyed the evening.”

“But what about afterward?” asked her friends.

“Oh, that was perfect too. Charley was too tired!”

I just finished White. I loved loved loved that book. Ugh, one of the bad things about working is that I just don’t have as much time to read as I’d like. And, I go back to work on Tuesday. So endeth my literary time!!
