Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada – Applications to introduce usage-based billing and other changes to Gateway Access Services

Canada’s CRTC Throws Consumers & Independent ISPs Under the Bus – Rubber Stamps YES on Bell’s Usage Based Billing

I believe this is so that Bell can charge usage fees to their “wholesale” customers. Customers like any local ISP that you may be receiving your Internet connection from here in Canada since they ALL use some part of Bell Canada’s wires somewhere along the way.

Expect your ISP to increase their fees charged to you, as a result. Oh and don’t expect any better speed or quality either, thats not part of the equation.
