Detroit Rock City

Detroit Rock City, from the album Destroyer, by Kiss, the first song. Our local radio station was playing the first side from that album. If you are familiar with that song you know it starts out with some sounds of someone getting ready to go out for the evening while listening to the radio. You hear a news broadcast of a crash between a truck and a car. Now I have been listening to this song for over 30 years. That album is one of the first records that I ever bought (and I still have it packed away in the basement somewhere). It was tonight while listening to it on the radio that I realized that the news broadcast was actually a report of the crash that the person portrayed in the song eventually ends up in at the end of the song.

DOOOOH!

30 Years to clue in on something like that, wow! Yay me!
