YouTube and …

Doooh’s Picture Of The Day
A coworker just sent me a link to a website. It stirred a thought that I had last week on the topic. I was logged in to YouTube going through the “Latest Submissions” stuff. I had heard that there are thousands of videos uploaded to it every minute, so I was refreshing the page every so often to see if I could realize those statements, when I had this thought. On this “latest submissions” page, there is a preview of the video just uploaded and in alot of cases the image and supposedly the video appeared to be pornographic in nature. This didn’t surprise me of course but it caused to me to think “How come there isn’t a “Porno” version of YouTube? Not that I’d be interested in such a thing of course, but curiosity…ya know. Anyways, a coworker sent me a link to PornoTube (be aware this link is NOT safe for viewing at work and if you’re not into Porn, so don’t go to it, especially JOE!). The reason why I would post such a thing on my blog is not because I’m into such stuff, but that I literally was wondering why there wasn’t such a thing, just last week and all of a sudden bango, there it is! Its just a little surprising thats all, well, not really I guess, but the fact that I was wondering about it and all of a sudden its there.

Does that mean I have the pulse of the Internet at my fingertips? Geeez, maybe it does? What other insights can I come up with such that maybe everyone might start reading my blog…Hmmmm. “The Internet will take off!” Oh wait, thats too obvious…its already happened. “The Internet will become corporate!” Damn, thats already happened too. Well, here’s one that I have actually put some thought into…”With the popularity of Web 2.0 sites like YouTube, there will be a need/niche/market for video editing software and the use of them, and distribution of them will need to be easier.” Well okay, maybe I can do this, but Doooh, I have already read that someone has noticed this…I think maybe someone at Wired. Ok, ok, I’m a little slow at this just yet, but maybe if I really think about something, I can come up with a prediction that may actually come to pass. Next time I come up with such a brilliant thought/idea, I will write it down so that I can remember to blog about it as quickly as possible so that the world will know it was me who came up with the idea/insight/buzz-word. There’s my future blogging-goal! To become the first to spew about something and then to see it talked about by someone else. Oh it will happen. I know it! Oh by the way, have you heard that they can now play videos on cell phones? Yes, porno to go! Ok, that was my brainstorm, now watch the media in the next few weeks for some other person to start ranting about such a thing. Watch at Wired, they’re usually up on all of that kind of stuff!

Replied the gentleman, “Well, I guess I just never met the right woman … I guess I’ve been looking for the perfect girl.”

“Oh, come on now,” said the friend, “Surely you have met at least one girl that you wanted to marry.”

“Yes, there was one girl .. once. I guess she was the one perfect girl.

The only perfect girl I really ever met. She was just the right everything .. I really mean that she was the perfect girl for me.”

“Well, why didn’t you marry her,” asked the friend.

“She was looking for the perfect man,” he said.
