The end is near!

Doooh’s Picture of the day:
According to this book, the end of the world as we know it is going to end in the year 2012! Oh wait, sorry, thats just me putting all fo the pieces together that this book presents. That date actually came from some ancient documentation, that suggests, a cataclysm similar to what the bible documents in the story of Noah and the Ark happening again and that date came up. It is taking me a long time to get through this book, but it is difficult for me to “rush” through as I find every chapter even more interesting than the previous one. Last night I think I read the piece that is starting to put everything together. It was a fairly detailed explanation of how the earth “works”. That is, describing how it moves through space, the speed, the tilt of the earth in relationship to its path around the sun, and its “wobble”, etc. This page explains it all fairly well. I found this fascinating and I will have to read it over a few times to understand it better. Its very technical, and I find with stuff like that, I have to read it a few times to really know it and understand it.

During this discussion in the book, he also goes into describing how the different signs of the zodiac factor in to all of this movement by the earfth and actually refers to the term “The Dawning of the age of Aquarius”. Apparently we are currently in the age of Pices, which refers to a specific celestial location in the sky and the tilt of the earth in that direction and has bearings on the solstice and the equinoxs. Soon, I’m guessing this 2012 year that was mentioned throughout the book, is the day in which the earth, through all of its tilts and wobbles and movements through space, will actually rise in Aquarius instead of Pices. Thus a new “age” as described by the ancients. The only problem is that in all such previous occurrances of such events, it has resulted in massive world-wide floods where a major portion of “mans” existence is eliminated.

So, putting all of the pieces together, I have concluded that 2012 is a valid date for such an event, and through all sorts of weather changes, environmental changes that we are seeing now is simply a build up to this major earth-event. Start building your arks now!

Even this makes me think too (I know, scary), that here we are all concerned with global warming and pollution and the idea that for whatever reason, our behaviors, and our polluting of the environment, is somehow causing some of the environmental events we are seeing, like the temperature of the earths oceons getting warmer, ice melting in the arctic, etc. Maybe its all just a naturally occurring event that our earth simply goes through every so many thousands of years? Makes ya wonder don’t it?

A Texan farmer goes to Australia for a vacation. There he meets an Aussie farmer and gets talking. The Aussie shows off his big wheat field and the Texan says, “Oh! We have wheat fields that are at least twice as large.”

Then they walk around the ranch a little, and the Aussie shows off his herd of cattle. The Texan immediately says, “We have longhorns that are at least twice as large as your cows.”

The conversation has almost died when the Texan sees a herd of kangaroos hopping through the field. He asks, “And what are those?”

The Aussie replies with an incredulous look, “Don’t you have any grasshoppers in Texas?”

Yikes… I’d end up depressed reading something like this one. The whole global warming thing scares me… Did you see the report about the polar bears in this regard? I think it was out last week….
